The Network Operations Center, or NOC, is the nucleus of our day-to-day operations. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, fifty-two weeks a year, technicians maintain and carefully monitor every segment of our network, from the programs running on the smallest server to our core routers and network connections.
The ServInt NOC is proactive in its efforts, making use of
sophisticated network diagnostics which monitor our entire network for
problems of all kinds. A problem can be detected, isolated and diagnosed
by the system in fewer than fifteen seconds - often before clients ever know
that a problem existed.
When telephoning ServInt's NOC, the response is immediate: clients speak directly with a live technician who can assist them. Most client questions and problems are dealt with in a matter of minutes, with a minimum of inconvenience for the client. More complicated issues are resolved by alerting senior engineers or directing the caller to the appropriate non-technical department.
Our ServInt staff also makes use of a portal website developed to
provide information to clients. This includes a network status
notification system which posts important messages about network issues or
outages, both on ServInt's network and across the Internet. Clients are
also provided with links with which they can monitor their own server
traffic statistics, including many helpful graphs and network tools.
